I dedicate this page to my father who died on the

23 rd of June 1998....

Dear Dad,

Here I am in Sydney,
the town you sent me to
and where you were in 1946.
Seeing from the photo's having the time of your life.

I 'm here on a mission, in Australia
Where I should have been born.
The country you came back to life
and was not allowed to stay.
We went to Holland instead
and there I saw the light.

Here is where I feel at home,
being amongst friends.
At last I feel relaxed,
after all these months.
It was a hard time for me,
but even harder for you.

I miss you with all my heart
and feel the pain of losing you.
The difficult decision you had to make this summer
to speed on mother nature.
I respect your choice and found it very brave.
I hope your bravery reflects on me.

I always remember you, don' t you forget
I always love you
and I do regret for not saying it so often.
I love you for who you are,
for what you did,
for what you missed.

You are my father,
I have your name,
I hope I have your courage
to go on my living days.

I' m my father' s daughter and I' m proud of it
I love you, dear father don' t go away...

Your loving daughter
M.
